Beverly Joan Stiles 84 of Albany, passed away on Friday, at Brookdale Assisted Living in Monmouth, Oregon.
Beverly was born in Danville, IL to Ardath and Alma (Stevenson) Schwab. She grew up in Hoopston as a teenager and young woman, Bev was very involved with sports; she played basketball, softball, bowling, and golf.
As a young person, she was a semi-professional singer of the blues and sultry love songs. In 1963, she became a Christian and sang worship songs in church services, and for weddings and funerals. She married Ken R. Stiles on February 14, 1965 in Los Angeles, CA. She became a mother of three daughters and taught them to sing and play sports.
They all attended church faithfully and Bev became a church childcare director and continued to serve her church in some capacity throughout her life. She joined Evangel Assembly in 1969, which later became Oak Creek Christian Center and is now called Neighborhood Church.
Beverly is survived by daughters Jenetta Smith of Independence, OR., Kattaryna Stiles of Bend, OR.; brother Art Schwab; 6 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ken Stiles; parents; and brother Richard Schwab.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation and sent in care of the funeral home.
