Helen Dorothy Lynn, 79, was called to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 7.
She was born in Minot, North Dakota, to Emanuel and Hilda Faul. She was the oldest of six children. She lived on the family farm until she fell in love and married William Lynn in 1961 in Minot, North Dakota, where she gave birth to two daughters. In 1968 the family moved to Albany, where she gave birth to her son.
Helen sold home interiors for years and is still remembered by many people in the area for helping them decorate their homes. She also worked as a certified nurse's assistant for a period of time.
Helen's love and joy was her family. She ensured that the family would gather for holidays and would never miss a birthday. She felt truly blessed with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed when they would visit. She also had a strong connection with her Lord and was an active member of Good Shepherd Church in Albany.
Helen is preceded in death by her loving husband, William Lynn; parents Emanuel and Hilda Faul; and sister Shirley Faul.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Hendrickson, husband Tony and their three children, Marcus (wife Kacy and great-grandchildren Jaxson and Olivia), Tara and Delaney; daughter Diane Draper, husband Dwayne and their two children, Derek (wife Jillian and great grandson Carson) and Jordan; son Alan Lynn, wife Karin and Alan's two children, Seth and Alaina; and siblings Emanuel Faul Jr., Kenneth Faul, Arlene Wilsby and Glorian Gillum.
A celebration-of-life service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1910 34th Ave. S.E., Albany.
