Michael Eugene (Mike) Wyse

July 27, 1952 - July 23, 2017

Michael Eugene (Mike) Wyse, age 64 of Millersburg, Oregon passed away suddenly Sunday, July 23, 2017. He was a 30-year employee/franchisee for Domino’s Pizza from 1972-2002. He was an advocate for “kids” sports and became a referee/umpire starting in 1985 in AYSO sports. He was a proud member of several Mid-Valley associations for softball. He was the scoutmaster of Troop 2 in Corvallis from 1990-1993. He enjoyed 8 years of riding farm equipment in the Willamette Valley.

Mike was born on July 27, 1952 in Wauseon, Ohio the son of the late Robert and Ila Rose (Miller) Wyse of Wauseon. In 1976 he married Leegh (Potes) Wyse. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Corvallis. His most cherished times were of his family, listening to classical rock, and playing board games. He was an avid collector of depression era glassware. He was never far from his Ohio farming roots and enjoyed gardening, especially sweet corn.

Surviving besides his wife, Leegh are their sons, Jonathan (Jessicia) Wyse, Oak Harbor, Wa, Brain Wyse, Albany, Or, and Reid (Nancy) Wyse, Corvallis, Or.  8 grandchildren and siblings, Dennis Wyse, Michele (Wyse) Holman, and Pete Wyse all of Wauseon, Ohio.

A Celebration of Life Picnic will be held Saturday, August 5, 2017 from 11-4 at the family home in Millersburg. The family requests that memorial contributions be made either to The Boy Scouts of America or the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
