Myron Odell Neth

August 5, 1929 — October 30, 2017

Myron Odell Neth, 88 of Albany, passed away at his home on Monday, October 30, 2017 at 11:40 a.m.

He was born in Lakeview, Oregon to Frank and Macie Neth on August 5, 1929. He was the seventh of twelve children.

Two weeks prior to his passing, Myron was diagnosed with lung cancer. He spent his final days at home, surrounded by those who loved him most.

Myron retired from Pacific Power in 1989 after dedicating 36 years to the company. 

He loved the outdoors; he was an avid hunter and enjoyed camping on his family homestead. 

He and Susie enjoyed the coast and spent 17 winters in Parker, Arizona. They miss their many friends from the community. 

Myron was a leader in Camp Fire USA and Kiwanis for several years.

He is survived by his wife, Lois “Susie” Neth; daughters, Teresa and Myra; five of his 11 siblings, Myrt, Ralph, Dorothy, Clinton, and Nancy. He also has many grand and great-grandchildren and is loved by several extended family members.

Myron was preceded in death by his eldest daughter, Twyla.

A viewing will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. on Friday, November 3 at AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 5 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, November 6 at Hubbard Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Myron’s name to Samaritan Evergreen Hospice or a local hospice of your choice.
