Naomi Roth

January 4, 1925 — January 23, 2018

Naomi (Beckler) Roth, 93 of Albany, passed away at her home on Tuesday morning, January 23, 2018.

Naomi was born on January 4, 1925 in Wood River, Nebraska to Ira and Marian (Boshart) Beckler. At the age of six, she moved with her family to Thurman, Colorado. She then moved to the Albany area at the age of 13, where she has lived ever since. 

On November 28, 1946, she married Glenn D. Roth, to whom she was married for 65 years. She was a lifelong member of the Fairview Mennonite Church.

Naomi started hiring out to do housework at the age of 13 and continued until 1945 when she began working at the Chas. H. Lily Company as a receiving clerk until her marriage. 

In 1951, she and Glenn purchased a farm on the east side of Knox Butte, where they lived for over 60 years. Naomi loved her flowers and always had a bountiful garden each summer.

Naomi's family was of great importance to her and she loved each one dearly.

Naomi is survived by daughters Carol (LeRoy) Redding of Nampa, Idaho and Helen (Mark) Trask of Albany; four grandsons; two granddaughters; and eight great-grandchildren. 

Naomi was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Glenn D. Roth; brothers Truman, Delmar, and Clifford Beckler; sisters Opal Hamilton and Ardis Byers; and an infant brother.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Fairview Mennonite Church.
