Patricia Bell “Pat” Byers
May 20, 1953 - October 4, 2017

Pat was born on May 20, 1953 in Vancouver, Washington to Betty I. Byers (Paxton) and John T. Byers Sr. She died peacefully the evening of October 4, 2017 at the Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House.
“She had one more sunrise and one more sunset.”

For the last few years Pat has lived at the Dove Nest West Wing of the Mennonite Village. She enjoyed playing bingo, reading and watching the Golden Girls on t.v.  She cared about her roommates and helped out when she could. She was loved and cared for by the Mennonite Village staff and will truly be missed. They were her friends.

Pat graduated in 1971 from Ridgefield High School in Ridgefield Washington. She attended some college taking classes in business and medical.

Pat lived most of her life in the Ridgefield-Vancouver area. She lived in Hermiston, Oregon while going to Blue Mountain Community College.

Although she never married or had children of her own, she touched many lives. There are many who call her aunt and loved her like a mom.

Pat is survived by her sister Marie Phillips of Albany, sister-in-law Sharon Gitt of Tualatin, nieces and nephews; Don & Becky Fox of Sheridan, Sandra & Tom Miller of Tangent, and John T. Byers III of Vancouver WA., great nieces and nephews; Shane Fox of McMinnville, Travis Fox of Sheridan, Cody Miller of Albany, Courtney Fox of McMinnville, Ashley & Jaiver Davenport of Albany, and Brittney Fox & John of Hood River, great-great nieces and nephews; Julia & Jase Flansberg and William and Kassidy Davenport. She has many cousins and friends that will truly miss her.

Pat was proceeded in death by her parents John & Betty Byers and brothers; Raymond S. Gitt Jr. and John T. Byrers Jr.

A memorial celebration of her life will be at the Albany Eagles Lodge on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at 1 p.m.

Her final resting place will be at Sara Union Cemetery in Ridgefield Washington.
