Top's name came up a while back and found his obituary. Sad to learn of his passing. I was once a student of his at Tolleson Union High School in AZ, he was a hard as nails Marine and a great mentor and teacher. He was an inspiration to me as a young high schooler and future Marine. Regretfully I did not stay in touch after high school, but he often entered my thoughts. Rest easy Brother and know you made a difference.

Sorry to hear about Pat & Sandy. I knew them in Monterey. Traveled up to Oregon with them & Stormy during one break in classes. Good people. Tried looking them up some years ago but could not find them.

Master Guns and Sandy were a great couple, very kind and helpful to a new military wife 15 years ago, when we were married. He was a very upstanding man, he set the bar high, many learned from him. he was a man who enjoyed life. It is a loss .

Very sad to know that my old "D.I." has passed. Of those in Platoon 166 that he made into Marines, I thank him for that. I am the only one left of the 5 Lebanon Marines that joined the Marine Corps back in 1957.
Master Gunnery Sgt Parsons was a great Marine.
