Mr. Shine was one of my favorite teachers. He was always kind and kept us interested all the time.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Shine. He was my principal at Lafayette school. He was amazing!

We felt privileged and honored to call Bob Shine our friend....always cheerful and with a mischievous twinkle in his eye...Bob liked to reminisce on his time in Guadalcanal during World War Two - he was the poster boy for the Corps. - "high-and-tight" and "Semper Fi". Bob will be missed by many, but forgotten by none. Kevin and family, we share your grief.
Semper Fi, Marine!

it has been said that the very young and the very old have a common thread in that they are closest to God.
Bob Shine, "dad", was definitely close to God in his own unique way. He was and still is a shining example of faith, always thanking God for his many blessings despite the circumstances.
As most, if not all of you know, Bob was a Marine through and through. And for those who may not know what the Marine motto "Semper Fidelis" means; it means "always faithful"...and I tell you, Bob was just that.
Love the people God gave you because He will need them back one day...
"SEMPER FI" dad...

So sorry to read about Bob's passing. A parent is always so hard to let go of. My sympathy to your family and especially to Kevin and family. Bob was my supervising principal at Waverly when I did my student teaching in 1967. I really appreciated his help.
