Tenille K-Lene Gates, age 40, passed away at her home in Albany on January 6, 2018 peacefully in her sleep.

Tenille was born to Reverend Larry and JoAlla Gates in Fort Lewis, Washington on June 8, 1977. Tenille attended high school at South Albany, graduating in 1994.

Tenille has three daughters, Nicole Alexander, 24, Megan Laube, 20, and Sara Schmidt 18. Tenille has four grandchildren, Anna, 5, Remington, 3, Matthew, 9 months, and baby, Natalia, who is on the way. Tenille was extremely excited to meet her.  Tenille is also survived by her sister Jollene Phelps and Terry Gates.

Tenille thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. One of Tenille's greatest characteristic was a heart of gold. She would always help anyone in need. Tenille enjoyed movies, reading and writing poetry. 

Tenille was a wonderful daughter, mother and grandmother. She is extremely loved and will be missed. Today her family places her in our Lord Jesus’ hands. We are not saying goodbye; we are saying until we see you again. 

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on January 22 at the Shift Church Spicer Campus (35355 Eicher Rd. Albany). Reverend Larry Gates will be officiating.
