Jack Allen Taisey passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015.
Jack was born in a log house in Hauser Lake, Idaho, to Paul and Irene Taisey. The family moved to St Maries, Idaho, when he was 6. This is where he became an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. Jack was one of 15 children born to the Taisey family. He met his sweetheart and future wife, Doris St. Marie, when he was a junior in high school. They married two years later on July 8, 1950.
Jack enlisted in the navy and served for four years. He and Doris settled in Lebanon and in 1956, Susan Marie was born and two years later, Tamara Jane was born. In 1960, Jack took a job as a millwright at Willamette Industries and the family moved to Albany where Michelle Lynn was born in 1964. The family moved for the last time to Mountain View Place in Albany in 1975. This is where Jack and Doris retired.
Jack was a member of the Eagles, VFW, American Legion and the Catholic Church. He loved fishing, hunting, camping and gardening. He loved his time spent taking care of his small farm which consisted of chickens, horses and cows. He loved to spend time with his family and friends. He travelled the country with his high school sweetheart, Doris. They were married for 58 beautiful years.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Doris, and daughter Susan.
Jack is survived by daughter Tamara and son-in-law Les Johnson; daughter Michelle and son-in-law Todd Nelson; grandchildren Angela Haima, Amy Newman, Austin Brushett, Rachel Nelson and Blake Nelson; and great-grandchildren Tyler, Jaden, Maya, Kage and Stella.
