Stanley James Keller
January 5, 1938 - March 30, 2024
Stanislaus (Stanley, Stan) James Keller was born in Rugby, Pierce Co, North Dakota on January 5, 1938, and passed away peacefully March 30, 2024. He was a resident of Albany Oregon.
Stan moved to Albany Oregon at the age of 10 and graduated from Albany High School where he was on the wrestling team and was district champion in 1955-56.
After graduation he joined the Navy and was stationed on the USS Cone which he saw several European assignments.
He worked for Bankers Life Insurance, before joining his father in the building business. Stan loved horses, boating and fishing, planting large vegetable gardens and hunting.
Stanley is survived by his wife Iryna; sons Craig Keller (Janina), Douglas Keller (Theresa); daughter Colette Heiman (Alan); grandchildren Garrett Heiman, Gabrielle Heiman, Hailey Keller, Rowdy Keller, Clay Keller, and Sydney Keller; brother Rod Keller; sisters Loretta Stark Beutner, Arlene Gerger, Jackie Cray, and Jolene Kobayashi; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Magdalena Schneider, Jack and Agnes Keller; and siblings Marjorie Bennett, Randy Keller, and Rickey Keller.
Our thanks to the caregivers at Waverly Place Assisted Living for your kindness in taking care of our Father, Grandpa, Husband, which he was nicknamed “Stan the Man” at the facility.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. on Friday April 26, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Willamette Memorial Park. AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home is handling the arrangements (www.aasum-dufour.com)
