Carolyn A. Keller
May 15, 1934 – July 1, 2019
Carolyn Agnes (Hoefer) Keller passed away on Monday, July 1, 2019 at Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House in Albany, Oregon.
She was born in Bellwood, Nebraska to Francis and Clara Hoefer, the 5th of 8 children. When she was 7, the family moved to Oregon where Carolyn attended St. Mathews School and Hillsboro High School, graduating in 1952.
Carolyn was married to Charles “Skeets/Chuck” Oxley in 1953. They had 4 children and later divorced.
She was married to Phillip Eugene Keller in 1970. They enjoyed 42 years together until his death in 2012.
During her working years, Carolyn started in the assembly line at Tektronix in Beaverton, working her way up to Circuit Board Design Manager in the engineering department.
Carolyn enjoyed working in her yard, making it beautiful. She loved to travel, especially to visit family. She and Phil spent many winters in Arizona, coming home to Oregon to enjoy life at the coast in Wheeler, where they spent time crabbing and fishing. They both loved a good bargain and found many treasures at garage sales, thrift stores, and the Wheeler Antique Mall.
Carolyn is preceded in death by six of her siblings; her husband, Phillip Keller; her son, Phil Keller; and granddaughter, Elizabeth Jenkins.
She is survived by her daughter, Laurie Sutter; sons, Dan Keller, Greg Keller; sister, Janice Romo of Coos Bay; grandchildren Caleb Jenkins, Jakob Keller, Katie Murphy, Nicole Clark, Candice Cordier and Kyla Keller; great grandchildren Noah, Emily, Kaitlyn and Abigail Jenkins, Weston and Maverick Keller, Jazmyn and Emma Muphy, Alexis and Elizabeth Cordier, and Colton and Jazzalyn Clark.
A celebration of life service will take place on August 3rd at 12:00 PM at Old Town Church, (located at 2224 15th Avenue, Forest Grove, OR 97116) followed by a luncheon reception.
