David Wayne Hiderbrand was born August 28, 1952 in Prineville, Oregon to Charles and Shirley Hilderbrand.
He passed away March 4, 2018 in Corvallis.
He spent most of his early years in Prineville, enjoying hunting and fishing.
From 1970 to 1973, Dave served in the U.S. Army. He was a Viet Nam veteran and a member of the VFW.
After leaving the military, he became a heavy equipment mechanic, traveling throughout Oregon. His job brought him a great deal of enjoyment.
Besides his family and friends, Dave enjoyed helping people as a mechanic and a handyman, always willing to help.
He purchased the care of his dreams, a 2016 Dodge Challenger Shaker and traveled with his wife to visit family.
His hobbies included watching TV, listening to country music, eating “Cowboy Pizza” and driving his car.
Dave was a loving husband, father, grandpa and great-grandpa.
He married his wife, Virginia, on July 3, 2000 in Reno, Nevada.
Dave was preceded in death by his father; mother; and grandmother.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia; siblings, Sheila, Debbie, Pam and Leroy; children David Hilderbrand and wife, Darla, Josie Ortega and husband, Romero, Wayne Hilderbrand and wife, Allison; grandkids, Dominic Scott, Christina Bessey, Rodney, Brittany, Bruce and Chandra Augustine, Gage Hilderbrand; and great-grandkids, Katelyn Smith, Olivia Scott, Tyler Hilderbrand, Hayden Hilderbrand, Austin, Diana, Jaylyn, Robin, Virginia and Johanna Augustine.
A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 12, 2018 at AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home
