Jo Lynn was called home to her reward on the morning of

Monday, July 24, 2017 after 70 years of life, serving and loving the Lord.

She was preceded in death by her father Lyle and mother Marjory.

She is survived by her husband Gary; son Andre wife Sha'Lee; daughter Genesis; 4 grandchildren; siblings Dony, Paulette, Kenneth, Roy and Syd; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jo Lynn attended school in her hometown of Empress, Alberta. She later

attended Camrose Lutheran college, singing in their college choir for two years. Then attended Northwest Bible college in Edmonton, Alberta

completing 3 years and graduating in 1968. She toured and sang with the Collegaires choir during her 3 years at NWBC.

In September of 1969, she married Gary Lindberg who had just completed his three years at Northwest Bible college. Jo Lynn and Gary then joined Dennis and Marilyn Sunderland traveling with them a year singing and preaching.

In 1971, Jo Lynn and Gary moved to Edmonton, Alberta to become youth leaders at Killarney Pentecostal Assembly under the leadership of Al and Bev Forsythe. On July 5th, 1972 their first child, a son, Andre Kyle was born. After 2 1/2 years of ministry at Killarney, Jo Lynn and Gary moved to Kamloops, BC and spent a year and a half with Ken and Joan Bombay at Calvary Temple.

In December 1974, Jo Lynn, Gary and Andre moved from Canada to Longview, Washington to be youth pastors under the leadership of Dave Minor. In 1977, their second child, a beautiful red-haired daughter named Genesis Kailynne was born.

After 12 years of youth and associate pastor ministry, Gary and Jo Lynn were placed as senior pastor at Columbia Heights and served in that

position for 10 years. In 1997, Jo Lynn and Gary resigned as senior pastor and moved.  They moved to Albany, Oregon November 1998. Andre had married Sha'Lee Scroggins and they remained in Longview as did Genesis.

Jo Lynn has always been well received by people; her beautiful smile, her outgoing personality and her kind heart made people feel welcome. She loved people and many times in her early morning neighborhood walks (for 10 years with Mary Rose) she would stop and greet people in their yards. If she learned of someone that was not feeling well, it was: get home as quickly as possible, make up a batch of fresh baked cookies, and take them over to them.

She loved the Lord, shared her faith, and was a wonderful wife and mother. We miss her but we know she is home.
