Julia Nolen was born in Midland, Texas to Tina and Everett Nolen. At the age of one, she moved to Oregon where she resided for her remaining years.
In 1985, she met the love of her life Bob Barrett “Bullet.” They were married on November 7, 1987. They were celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary this year.
Julia leaves behind her husband Bob; daughters, Julie and Janell; sons, Dr. John and Scott; two sons-in-law; two daughters-in-law; nine granddaughters: Nichole, Jamie, Shauni, Taylor, Shelby, and Tori; grandson Ryan; six great-grandchildren; and brothers and sisters: Irene, Buddy, Dorothy, Billy, Junior, David, Dolores, and Dick.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and eight other brothers and sisters. 
Julia and Bob are both members of the Pentecostal Church of God in Albany. She was a very active member and often a leader and inspiration to others to follow in the words of God.
She was the most loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She lived her life for her babies. She had a strong work ethic and worked at Evanite Fiber and various other jobs throughout her life. 
Her true joy was being at home with her family. Here, she was able to retire and wait at home for her husband Bullet to pull up in his Peterbilt truck!
She put up an amazing fight for 20 plus years to make sure she was here for her husband, children and grandchildren. She will be loved and missed by many. Until we meet again Ju Mae.
A viewing will be from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 20 at AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home. Immediately following the viewing, there will be a celebration of life service held at Bob and Julia’s home at 4160 37th Ave SE in Albany.
