Mary Patricia Jean (Pierceall) of Albany, Oregon passed away on January 7, 2018 at the Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House with her family by her side.
Mary Pat was born in Long Beach, CA. on June 22, 1927, to James & Lillian Pierceall. She graduated from Gardena High School and worked as a secretary before her marriage to Raymond A. Jean on August 31, 1946. They were happily married for 71 years and their union produced eleven remarkable children.
While rearing their family, Pat worked as a volunteer for several charitable organizations in Portland and Albany, OR. She dabbled in writing, music, needlework, and gardening. She loved to dance and fostered this talent in her daughter and granddaughters. However, she found her greatest joy in being Raymond’s wife and the mother of their large family.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Ray, 92 years of age; eight children & their spouses: Raymond & Joy Jean, James & Stacey Jean, Theodore & Amy Jean, Patricia Adams, Tim Hobbs, John & Leslie Jean, Michael & Anita Jean, Julie Jean, and Edmond & Lisa Jean. Also surviving are twenty-three grandchildren and thirty-six great-grandchildren. She is survived by two sisters Nancy Pierce and Judith Corea; a brother-in-law Jean-Paul Jean, and sister-in-law, Enid Bissot, and numerous nephews and nieces.
Mary Pat was preceded in death by her parents; son, Paul Stephen Jean, daughters Annette Marie Hobbs and Mary Alicia Kee, a grandson, and a beloved brother & sister-in-law.
A celebration of life service will be held at AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home on January 20, 2018 at 4pm with a reception to follow.
