Merriweather Jones What can I say that is not already known, you were strong and kind. You were happy to share your knowledge with those around you, I was happy to listen to your advise, happy to learn what you had to share. You made an impact on my life and my husbands. You gave me courage, you helped me grow, you never asked for anything but friendship. Going to the state auction and sharing pallets of computers was always a blast., it was such fun. You helped me believe in myself, and you never saw my husbands wheelchair, you looked right past it and to him. Thank you for being a friend, my thoughts and prayers go out to your family. Your sister spoke so well of you today, Your brother reminded me of you, I can tell he has the same sense of humor. RIP my friend,
Kathy & posthumously Todd

Merriweather Jones joined our company in the fall of 1967, and became a squad leader in the 2d platoon. He quickly developed a reputation for taking care of and caring for the men in his charge, and they responded in kind. A while later we think he was the motor pool sergeant for our company, but he later returned to the field and was present on 21 Aug 68 for Charlie Company's most horrendous battle of the year. Merriweather has not been forgotten by the men he served with in Vietnam, who sends their regards and best wishes to his family and loved ones.
