Obituary
Abby Emerson, 21, of Corvallis, was killed in a car crash on her way home from the coast on May 4, 2014.
She was born in Rochester, NY, January 22, 1993, and lived in New York for the first 8 years of her life. Abby was a third-year Anthropology student at Oregon State University, and had been accepted into a field school program this summer in Idaho for her major. She was dating Topher Kazanzki, who was also killed in the crash.
She had recently quit her job at the OSU Bookstore. Winter term at OSU she earned straight A's. She was funny, brave, outspoken, and utterly unique, surrounded by a tight-knit community of friends and chosen family. She adored paranormal TV shows, was a loyal FC Barcelona fan, and could fill the whole dance floor with her energy and enthusiasm.
She is survived by her mother, Melinda; father, Jerry; siblings Bryan and Erica; and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.
