Amanda Rose (Miller) Fewless, 22, of Albany died Wednesday as a result of a motor vehicle wreck on her way to school at LBCC.
Just a few weeks away from her golden birthday, Amanda was in Grand Forks, N.D., to Johnnie and Diane Miller. She graduated from Sweet Home High School in 2008. On Sept., 16, 2011, Amanda was overjoyed to marry her soul-mate, Joshua Fewless, in Portland. She was currently an honor student at Linn-Benton Community College, where she studied library science, and together she and her husband were preparing to graduate this June.
Amanda was the light in all the lives she encountered. Everyone felt welcome with her because she accepted each individual person for who they were. She had a natural talent for being kind and caring, and she was especially gifted with children. One of her greatest joys was being in the midst of the children in her family. If there was a group of children, there she could be found also, for they seemed to gravitate to her personality like a magnet. In fact, she had recently expressed interest in becoming a teacher.
She is survived by her husband, Joshua Fewless of Albany; parents John and Diane Miller of Sweet Home; siblings Nathan, Shawn and Aaron Miller of Lebanon, Tanya and Ken Matney of Sweet Home, Anne Marie and Ryan Blackwell of Fort Polk, La.; grandparents Arnold and Barb Holli of Bismarck, N.D., and Rodney and Lola Perkins of Henderson, Nev.; father and mother-in-law Brian and Debra Fewless of Albany, and their family, Bryan and Morgan Graham of Lake Oswego, Melissa and Delos Maddux of Independence, and Rebecca and Kristopher Fewless of Albany; grandparents-in-law Marvin and Dianna Fewless of Eugene, and Dorothy Creach of Sheridan; and dozens of cherished cousins, aunts, ncles, nieces and nephews from both the Fewless and Miller families.
She was preceded in death by grandmother Helen Marie Holli of Grand Forks, N.D.
Her funeral will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Albany, 2850 Grand Prairie Road S.E.
