Obituary

Ann C. HamlinOctober 30, 1927 - August 16, 2008 Ann C. Hamlin, 80, of Albany went home to be with the Lord on Saturday.She was born in Little Rock, Ark., the daughter of George and Paulyne (Lamb) Collins.  Ann married Orwin F. Hamlin JR. in Greenville, Miss., in 1944.  In 1956 Orwin and Ann dedicated their lives to the service of the Lord and in 1959 they moved to St. Maries, Idaho.In 1963 they moved to Calder, Idaho, then to Superior, Mont., in 1976.  In 1985 Ann and Orwin came to Oregon and first settled in Milwaukee. In August of 1995 Orwin went home to be with the Lord and in 1999 Ann came to Albany and had been here since that time.Ann worked as an office manager over the years and was in the Albany Master Gardeners Club she enjoyed Tai Chi and continuing her education in the Spanish language. Ann was especially proud to have walked the Portland Marathon at age 65, but most of all being a lifetime servant of the gospel ministries of Jesus Christ.Ann is survived by daughters Paula Trynn of Las Cruces, N.M., Dilys Ranger of Sebastopol, Calif., and Sarah Haluzak of Philomath; son John Hamlin of Hayden, Idaho.;  and grandchildren Syringa Spiesman, Brian Shippam, Jennifer, Paula, and Evan Hamlin. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Viola Cemetery in Idaho.  Short's Funeral Chapel of Moscow, Idaho is handling the arrangements and online condolences may be sent to www.shortsfuneralchapel.net .   Local arrangements provided by AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home.
