Obituary

Anna Naomi Kelley, 31, died on August 20, 2024, in a tragic car accident near Philomath, Oregon. Anna was born on June 25, 1993, in Everett, Washington to Stephen Keehn and Saundra (Stinnett) Looney. Anna graduated from West Albany High School, class of 2011, and went on to attend college at the University of Oregon, graduating with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Education. Go Ducks!! Anna met Travis in the fall of 2008 during their sophomore year in high school and have been together ever since. On July 15, 2017, Anna and Travis were married in Lebanon, Oregon. They made their home in Waldport, Oregon with their two precious babies, Jace and Macie. Before becoming a mommy, Anna was the head varsity volleyball coach from 2018 - 2020 for Waldport High School. Anna was to enter her 9th year teaching at Crestview Heights School.

Anna had an endless love for her husband and children. They would take many Saturday adventures to Newport for Dutch Bros and a donut. She enjoyed sharing her love of the beach with Jace and Macie and you could always find them there for 4th of July fireworks and crabbing. Anna had a passion for the outdoors. She loved being on the river, either in the boat out-fishing everyone else or relaxing in her kayak. She enjoyed the family camping trips, golfing, duck hunting at the club in Coquille and many other outdoor activities. Other than family and the outdoors, her only greater love was reading a book while eating one of her favorite treats consisting of popcorn, ice cream, Swedish Fish or M&Ms.

Anna was all that is good and right in the world. She was the brightness that lit every room. She made everyone feel seen and heard. She was hilarious without effort. She was kind and loving without expectation. She was gregarious and someone you longed to be around. She was the keeper of secrets shared and someone you could always trust. She had a tremendous impact on anyone she crossed paths with, including her students and community. Anna's most cherished version of her was being a loving wife and incredible mommy. She loved and she loved deeply.

Anna is survived by her loving husband, Travis Kelley, son Jace (4), daughter Macie (1), mother Saundra Looney (Stinnett), stepfather Eric Looney, father Stephen Keehn, sisters Becky Moser and husband Michael Moser (who was more like a brother than a brother-in-law), Jenni Lonberg and Alesha Barklow (Don), niece Miley, nephew Brody and grandfather Graydon Stinnett. Anna was preceded in death by grandmother Phyllis Naomi Stinnett, grandmother Diana "Betty" Keehn and grandfather Claude Keehn.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kelley Family's Go Fund Me Campaign or made directly to the special savings account set up at Chase Bank. The donations will allow the family the time they need to heal and adjust to life without Anna.
