Obituary

Anna Marie Scarborough, 89, of Albany passed away on Friday at her son's residence.

Anna was born in Sumatra, Mont., to Grant and Roberta (Farnam) Eaton. She grew up in Montana and met William Chapman Sims in Portland during the war. They had four children together and divorced many years later. Anna married Sharold H. "Pat" Scarborough in 1979 in Roseburg. He preceded her in death in 1993.

Anna worked as a nurse's aide at Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Albany, and was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, traveling and hunting for treasures at Goodwill Stores.

Anna is survived by sons Micheal Sims of Albany and David Sims of Lebanon; daughters Sharon Griffith of Bend and Sandra Davidson of Portland; grandchildren Shauna Whittier, Rob Sims and Jesica Davidson; and great-grandchildren Leeah Whittier, Keagan Whittier, Mason "Macy" Davidson and Madeline Sims. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Jessie Eaton; and sisters Dorris Wilson and Pearl Eggen.

Private family services will be held.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in care of the funeral home.
