IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Anthony (Tony)
V. Tarango
May 18, 1970 – December 21, 2023
Anthony V. Tarango, known affectionately as Tony to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2023, in Corvallis, Oregon, due to congestive heart failure. Born on May 18, 1970, in Sonora, California, Tony's zest for life and his generous spirit touched everyone he met throughout his 53 years. Tony grew up in the rolling hills of Sonora, where he cultivated a love for the outdoors and a passion for life that was as expansive as the Californian sky under which he played as a child. A proud graduate of Sonora High School in 1988, Tony was known for his kind heart and ready smile, traits that would define him throughout his life. Professionally, Tony was a master of his craft as a painter, a career that allowed him to bring color and joy to the lives of others. He took pride in his work and was well-respected by his peers for his attention to detail and his dedication to his trade. His involvement in various associations within his profession spoke volumes about his commitment to his community and his desire to uplift those around him. Away from work, Tony was a man of many interests, but perhaps none so loved as floating down the river and restoring antique trucks. These hobbies were a testament to his appreciation for the simple joys of life and his hands-on approach to everything he did. Tony's love for the river was more than a pastime; it was a reflection of his own nature—persistent, and always moving forward. Those who knew Tony will remember him as a loving father, a cherished brother, and a generous friend. He was a man who could fix almost anything. Tony's legacy is carried on by his beloved children, Kyllie Weinberg, Anthony Tarango, and Nick Tarango, who will forever hold dear the memories of their father's unwavering love and support. He is also survived by his sisters, Monica and Antoinette Tarango, and his brothers, Ralph, Robert, and Benny Tarango, all of whom will miss his presence deeply. In the words of Helen Keller, "What we have once enjoyed we can never lose; all that we love deeply becomes a part of us." Tony's impact on this world was profound, and his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. Tony's life was a testament to the power of love, the importance of family, and the joy of giving. His memory will be cherished, and his absence deeply felt by all who were fortunate enough to cross his path. As we bid farewell to Tony, we take solace in knowing that he lived a life full of passion, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to those he loved. Anthony V. Tarango's journey on this earth may have come to an end, but his story will continue to be told by those who loved him most. He was a beacon of light in the lives of many, and his legacy will shine on, guiding us with the love and generosity he so freely gave. Rest in peace, Tony; you have left an indelible mark on this world, and you will not be Forgotten.
