Ardeth Jones, age 96, of Corvallis, Oregon, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022, in hospice care in Albany, Oregon.

Ardeth was born in Spink County, South Dakota, near the town of Doland, to Walter and Mildred (Calvert) Ebbert. She grew up on their farm near Doland and outside of Springfield, Oregon. She graduated from Springfield High School, completed her undergraduate degree at Oregon State College, and completed her master's degree at Oregon State University. She married Leo Jones, and lovingly raised their four children.

Ardeth is survived by daughters Caren, Patricia, and Laurie; son Randall; sister Patty Mathew; and cousin Trudy Fye. Six grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive her. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Donald, and Meredith; and two sisters, Elizabeth, and Marian.

A family memorial event will be held later this spring.
