Arlene J. Russell
May 15, 1933 - March 5, 2017

Arlene J. Russell, a long time resident of Albany, Oregon, died Sunday the 5th of March at the Samaritan Evergreen Hospice Center.
Arlene was born on May 15, 1933 in Redding, California to Jesse "Eddie" and Myrtle Cochran.

Arlene raised three children of her own and later married Chester Austin Russell who had three grown daughters of his own. This blended family has blessed them with 15 grand children, 22 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Arlene was married to Chet Russell for 36 years and attended Albany First Assembly of God church. She is survived by her husband Chet, sons Daryl and Jon Sheley, daughter Denise Bodry and sister Marilyn Rickett as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Arlene was a musician and always had a song in her heart. She played the piano and the tenor saxophone. She was also a singer and enjoyed many years singing in the church choir and in small ensembles. One of her favorite things to do with family and friends was to sing around the piano while she played.

The funeral service with be held at 10 am on March 18th at Hope Christian Center (formerly Albany First Assembly of God) and Rev. Lewis Shelton will be officiating. Funeral arrangements are being handled by AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home (www.asum-dufour.com).
