Obituary

Arthur C. Adams, 97, of Albany passed away Monday at Albany General Hospital.

Art was born in Detroit, Michigan the son of Dolphus and Margaret Dam. He grew up working at the Dodge Chrysler plant in Detroit before joining the army in 1942. While Stationed at Camp Adair Art met his wife Laura. They were married on May 25, 1943 and she preceded him in death August 1995.

He belonged to St. Mary's Catholic Church and the American Legion. He was an active man earlier in life that loved going bowling and playing bingo with his wife. Later in life he enjoyed watching sports on TV, playing cards at the casino, and attending the sporting events of his great-grandchildren Jalen and Jensen Handy.

He is survived by: his daughter Diana McCorkle of Albany, son Kevin Handy and wife Jennifer of Albany, daughter Esther Pedro of Reno, NV, and daughter Pat Inouye of Keizer; numerous grandchildren one of whom he was like a father to Jason McCorkle of Albany; and many great-grandchildren.

The Funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Feb 25th at St. Mary's Church in Albany, followed by a burial at Willamette Memorial Park.
