Audrey J. KeppingerNov. 12, 1932 - July 19, 2010Audrey J. Keppinger, 77 of Albany passed away Monday at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.She was born in Chicago, ILL. the daughter of Oswald and Frances (Slowinski) Nielsen.  Her family came to Oregon when she was 12 years old.  Audrey graduated from Albany Union High School and then worked for the phone company.  She married Robert W. Keppinger on June 23, 1956, in Albany at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Audrey enjoyed fishing trips to Canada, painting, working crossword puzzles, her cats, playing Bunko, and bird watching.  She was very active with the Willamette Valley Team Penning Association and worked in the office for several years.She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Robert W. Keppinger; son Dan J. Keppinger; and daughter Barbara K. Semmel all of Albany.Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or SafeHaven Humane Society and can be sent in care of the funeral home.A visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and the funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with burial to follow at the Gervais Masonic Cemetery in Gervais. AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
