Bernece "Bee" Aline Ice, 80, formerly of Albany went to the House of the Lord on Saturday, May 12. There was a BIG celebration that day. Waiting for Bee were 4 of her children.
Bee was born in Lawton, Okla. to Bill and Evaline Jane (Burgess) Williams. When she was about 3 years old her family moved to Chowchilla, Madera County, Calif., where she grew up and married at age 16. She had her first child soon after. With her second husband, J.J. Hafelfinger she had 5 children. Bee later married Stanley E. Ice and had 2 more children. Two of her husbands were in the US Navy so the family moved a lot until settling in Oregon in 1970.
Bee loved to play bingo; go fishing and hunting. She was an active member of the American Legion; Albany Eagles; and the VFW for many year. She loved animals of all kinds and liked most people she met.
Bee held many jobs over the years, she really enjoyed interacting with people. She was a waitress at Pop's Branding Iron for many years, worked at Linn Care and also did "In Home Care" in Linn county, just to mention a few.
Bee will be greatly missed by the ones she left behind; daughters Julie Spencer of Black Canyon City, Arizona, Bonnie Anderson of Albany, Oregon, and Kathy Ellis of California; son Thomas Ice of Oregon; seven grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren; three brothers; and two sisters.
She was preceded in death by sons Jay E. Hafelfinger and Stanley D. Ice; infant son; infant daughter; husband Stanley E. Ice; granddaughter Carla Ellis; mother Evaline Jane (Burgess) Williams; father Bill Williams; and brother Earl Williams.
Bee spent her last 6 months very much loved and cared for by the staff at South Town Living Center. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to SouthTowne Living Center 389 W. 29th Ave, Eugene, OR 97405 , or MDA of Oregon.
