Betty L. AndreasJuly 18, 1928 - December 20, 2008Betty Lou Andreas, 80, passed away Dec. 20. She was born in Yakima, Wash., to Frederick and Rose Schroeder (Weibel).   She had four sisters, Sylvia, Helen, Ethyl and Phyllis.  Phyllis was her best friend.    She attended schools in Yakima.  On June 18, 1949 she married Dennis A. Andreas. He preceded her in death in 1991.  They had four children; Dennis W Andreas of Albany, Neil and wife Robin Andreas Andreas of Yakima; Linda and husband Jerry Passmore of Albany and Thomas and wife Gwen Andreas of Salem. She worked for the Department of Human Services, Child Welfare department for 11 years, in the Lebanon and Salem divisions, before retiring in 1993.  The job she loved the most was being a mother to her children.  Betty is survived by her children; grandchildren, DJ Andreas of Philomath; Jason and wife Angie Andreas of Yakima, Jennifer and husband Chad McKinney of Wyoming, Alan and wife Rachelle Passmore of Albany; Serena and husband Matt Lodes of Albany; Bobby and wife Wendy Vodden of Brownsville, Christina and husband Shawn Kirsch of Texas, Jonathan Andreas of Salem and Anthony Andreas of Salem. 15 great-grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.  At her request there will be a family gathering at a later date.
