Betty Louise LehnherrOctober 11, 1931 - July 24, 2007Betty L. Lehneherr, 75 of Albany, passed away Tuesday, July 24, at Samaritan Albany General Hospital. She was born October 11, 1931 in Nebraska, the daughter of George and Verline Aker. Betty was raised in Independence and graduated high school there. She married John L. Lehnherr on June 19, 1949 in Independence, and they resided in the Salem area before moving to Albany in 1959. Betty was a homemaker and reared three boys. Family was always very important to Betty and she loved to spend time with them, camping, picnicking at the coast, and attending or hosting family reunions. Betty is remembered as a loving mother. She was a member of Willamette Community Church in Albany.Betty is survived by husband of 58 years John L. Lehnherr Sr. of Albany; sons John Lehnherr Jr. of Albany and Dennis Lehnherr of Millersburg; brother Gene Aker of Salem; and granddaughters and spouse Crystal and Michael Lehnherr of Albany and Tonya Shouse of Coos Bay. She was preceded in death by son David Lehnherr, sisters Georgina and Mary Aker and brother Dale Aker.Visitation will be held Friday, July 27, from 1:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
