Beverly Ruth Mitchell, 87, of Albany passed away on Sunday at her residence.
Beverly was born in Lake Andes, South Dakota, to Svend and Helga (Tindsted) Andersen. She graduated from Toledo High School and married Wilburt Raymond "Webb" Mitchell in Albany in 1946. She worked as the executive secretary for the Linn County Board of Commissioners for 38 years retiring in 1993. Beverly was a member of the Albany First Church of God and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, dancing, and playing cards.
Beverly is survived by daughters Coleen Mitchell of Albany, and Julie Mitchell of Sodaville; son Layne Mitchell of Colorado; grandson Logan Mitchell and fiancée Samantha Parker; and great-grandchildren Dominick Mitchell-Parker and Kristina Parker.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Webb.
A viewing will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Monday, March 21, at the funeral home. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, at the Willamette Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with entombment to follow.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Albany First Church of God in care of the funeral home.
