Bill Herring
July 12, 1941 - May 21, 2014
Bill was born in Carnegie, Oklahoma, to Everett and Vera Herring.
He moved to Texas at 2 weeks old, and then to California when he was 10 years of age. From there he moved to Oregon. Bill drove truck for 42 years.
Bill is preceded in death by his father, Everett Herring; son David Herring; and stepsons Mark Burford, Greg Burford and Lonnie Burford.
Bill is survived by his wife, Arlyne Herring; mother Vera Herring; son Jerry Herring; and stepchildren Julie Jones and Gary Burford. Bill had a special bond with his grandson, Asa Jones, and great-grandson Lane Scott.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at the Albany Four Square Church, located at Sixth and Jefferson.
