Bobby Lee Whitehead was born on April 10, 1937, in Bald Knob, Arkansas. He passed away at his long-time residence in Albany, Oregon, on April 3, 2025.
Bob was an active member of the Albany JayCees and served as president in 1970. He also served as president of the Albany Elks. Bob proudly served his country on the Navy ship USS Bristol class DD-857 Destroyer.
He has one daughter: Keely Driggs (husband, Kevin Ort), three granddaughters: Breanna Werst (husband, Cody), Celiane Driggs, and Morgan Driggs. He also has three great-granddaughters, one sister: Opal Enget (husband, Dave), and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Columbus and Audrey Whitehead, his wife Karen Whitehead, son Keenan Whitehead, and his brother Columbus Whitehead Jr.
Bobby was loved by many neighbors, friends and family.
A memorial will be held May 3, 2025, at the American Legion: 1215 Pacific Blvd. Albany, OR 97321, from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm. Military Honors to beginning promptly at 1:00 pm.
