Brent Lee
Heyne
February 28, 2026 – November 14, 1955
Brent Lee Heyne 70 of Seal Rock Oregon passed away on February 28th 2026 of complications from Lymphoma.
Brent was born and raised in Lebanon Oregon. After graduation he spent three years in the Navy. Upon returning home he attended Linn Benton Community College and graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering. He had several jobs in the Albany area while attending college but landed a job with Oregon Department of Transportation where he worked for 32 years before retiring.
Brent enjoyed his job and coworkers at ODOT but his true joy came from Music. In his spare time he played in many bands and had a large group of friends in the musical community. He first found his love of music in school and played many instruments but settled on the Trombone as his instrument of choice. He had a gift of being able to easily write sheet music and spent many hours translating songs for people. Although he liked all music Chicago was his favorite band and Jazz was his usual choice to play.
Brent had a love of animals and had many over the years mostly dogs. He loved fishing and rafting. He spent much of his childhood and a lot of his adulthood rafting the South Santiam river with his brother Bart, son Tim and other family and friends. The river ran very close to his childhood home and was easy to access.
He always loved the Oregon Coast. He bought a house in Seal Rock and lived there until his death.
Brent leaves behind his son Tim, brother Bart, step children Christe Reddington-Smith and Jace Bennett plus many more friends and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Julie.
There will be a graveside service on April 25th at 1:00, Liberty-Nye Cemetery in SweetHome,
