Obituary

Carlos Campos Gutierrez, 95, of Albany passed away on Monday, Jan. 18, 2016.
Carlos was born October 17, 1920, to Clotilde Campos and Louis Gutierrez, in Albany, OR.
He went to school in Albany and served in the Navy from 1942 to 1945.
On April 20, 1946, he married his true love and soul mate, Agripina Guzman, in Yuma, AZ.
They moved to Oregon in 1946, where they started their family. Carlos enjoyed taking pictures and home movies. Carlos was a master gardener, an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed quality time with his immediate and extended family. Carlos was known and admired for his huge heart, endless generosity, and compassion for everyone who crossed his path.
Carlos a life member of Albany American Legion Post 10, Elks Lodge, Eagles Lodge, and American Veterans. He worked for Lynn Plywood for 30 years. Carlos was named the Distinguished Veteran of the 2014 Veterans Day Parade.
Carlos is survived by his beloved wife, Agripina; sons Carl and wife Rikki, Mario and wife Tammy, Jimmy and wife Penney, and Bobby and wife Melinda; daughters Gloria Erner and husband Bob, and Annie Moore and husband Pete; 22 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great- grandchildren.
A funeral liturgy and mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday, January 25, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Interment will take place at Willamette Memorial Park and Mausoleum.
