Catherine Ann Bose, 92, of Albany went home to be with her Lord and Savior Friday morning.

She was born in Victorville, Calif., the daughter of Alfred E. and Marie A. (Eilers) Trendell. Her family moved to Portland, where she spent her teenage years. They then moved to Coquille where Catherine married Dailey Robinson in Klamath Falls in 1945.He passed away one month before their daughter, Patricia, was born.

Catherine moved to Albany in 1946, and then to Sacramento, Calif., for five years before returning to Albany. She married Alfred E. Bose on Nov. 1, 1959, and they ran Bose farms for many years growing raspberries and busing kids out to the farm to pick berries. Catherine would pay the children, give them an ice-cream and they would bus them back to town. Alfred and Catherine where charter members of Calvary Community Church and donated the land for the church to be built. She was very active in her church and with Child Evangelism Fellowship, for 44 years, where she planted and directed a work in Sacramento, Calif., and served on the board here in Albany.

Catherine had a wonderful sense of humor, great wit, a sharp mind and loved by many. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by daughter Patricia M. and husband Gary Pettigrew of Spokane, Wash.; and grandson Evan Smith of Anchorage, Alaska.

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents; husband Alfred E. Bose; and brother Bud Trendell.

A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. today at Calvary Community Church, 35764 Knox Butte Road, Albany. Private burial was at Willamette Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Child Evangelism Fellowship and sent in care of the funeral home.
