Obituary

Christine Marie Dunn, 43, wife of Toby Wollenweber of Albany, daughter of John and Nancy Dunn of Tangent, lost her battle with cancer with her family by her side.
Chris was born in Albany and attended grade school at Fir Grove Elementary. In second grade her family moved to Scio where she graduated from Scio High in 1988. She then attended Western Oregon University where she met her loving husband, Toby.
Chris was involved in 4-H all through her high school years raising sheep, rabbits and goats. Living in the country was a joy to her as her family always had many animals and lots of space to enjoy nature. Camping trips and visits to relatives in Florida and California exposed her to the love of our country's natural beauty which later led her to her love of photography. After college, she worked for The Limited and Maurices clothing stores in several valley locations becoming a manager in Salem. She changed job types working for AT&T which later became Comcast where she worked for 13 years as a service center manager until her illness forced her to leave.
Chris loved movies, music, reading and spending time with her puppies, Tina and Zelda. She will be greatly missed by all of us.
Christine is survived by her husband, Toby; parents; brother Patrick Dunn and wife Clara of Tualatin; nieces Mariana and Samantha; grandmothers Shirley Dunn of Florida and Jean Donahue of California; mother-in-law Annette Keen of Portland; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
There will be a celebration of life at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26, at First Church of God, 1225 15th Ave. S.W., Albany, OR 97321.
Donations can be made by check to her husband, Toby Wollenweber, for the Christine Dunn Memorial Fund at Central Willamette Community Credit Union, PO Box D, Albany, OR 97321. These funds will be distributed to Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House and Samaritan North Albany Cancer Resources Center by her family.
