Corey Matthew Cunningham

April 14, 1990 - March 9, 2017

Corey Matthew Cunningham, 26, of Albany, Oregon passed away March 9, 2017 in Albany.

Corey was born in Albany, Oregon.  He attended school in Lebanon, OR and later attended the Angell Job Corps where he earned his high school diploma and Masonry Trade Certificate.

Corey enjoyed the great outdoors.  He loved fishing, hunting, and camping and was always up for a game of golf. He took pleasure in cooking and barbequing; always anxiously awaiting the reaction he received from serving one of his crazy recipes.

Corey had a smile that lit up a room.  He was always there for others, no matter what the need.  Corey adored making people laugh and his enthusiasm was contagious. A great number of people in the community have reached out with so many kind, powerful words.

Corey spent three years at Teen Challenge Willamette Valley where he lived a life of recovery while serving the community.  He was a strong voice and often spoke in support of others and their recovery.  During this time, Corey grew in his relationship with Christ.

Corey is survived by his mother, Kim Cunningham Bardin, his father Randy Bardin, and his sister Brittney Bardin.  He had a half-sister Kassi Cox of Albany.  Corey loved his aunts and uncles and they were an important part of his life: Patti Greer of Dallas, Jimmy Cunningham of Tigard, and Helen Williams of Wilsonville.  He had many cousins and was blessed with a large family.

Corey was preceded in death by his uncle Mike Cunningham of Albany, and his grandparents Henry and Marilyn Bardin of Albany.

His celebration of life/service is Saturday, March 18th at 11:00 am at 31700 Fayetteville Drive, Shedd, Oregon.
