David A. JacobsonAugust 29, 1949 - March 8, 2009David A. Jacobson, 59 of Albany passed away on Sunday from a heart attack. He was born a twin to Julian and Betty (Salverson) Jacobson, in Ortonville, Minnesota. He moved to Oregon with his parents in 1956.David graduated from Albany Union High School in 1967. He then worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken, where he met his wife, Barbara (Barnhart). He worked for Oregon Freeze Dry for 37 years.David and Barbara were married July 24, 1971 in Portland, Oregon.After his time at Oregon Freeze Dry, David and Barbara took their Pet ID Tag business on the road full time. He enjoyed working with the public and meeting people. He made a lot of very close friends.He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. He is survived by his wife Barbara, children Jamie, husband Ron, Bryce, Janelle, her fiance Ryan; grandchildren, Brandon, Madison, Trenton, Ashley and Samantha. Mother, Betty all of Albany. Twin sister Cindy Stucky and husband Kneil of Brownsville. 13 nieces and nephews; numberous aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces and nephews, and many friends.He was preceded in death by his father Juilan and both sets of grandparents.A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 14th. at 3:00 pm at Faith Lutheran Church in Albany, Oregon.Memorial donations can be made to American Heart Association, Alzheimers, Safe Haven Humane Society.
