Dean Gabel passed away at home on Saturday February 13, 2016.
During his working life, Dean was many things. Dean was most known as a loving Pastor, Counselor, Mentor, and Advocate for the Deaf.
Dean was pastor of Deaf Ministries at the Neighborhood Assembly of God church in Eugene. He also has served as Pastor of the Eugene Deaf Church and Florence Avenue Deaf Fellowship as well as Assistant Pastor at Faith Christian Fellowship.
Dean enjoyed, hiking, art, woodworking, fishing and spending time with family and friends.
Dean is preceded in death by his mother and mother-in-law, both who he missed dearly.
Dean is survived by His loving wife, Deana; his father Ervin; his brothers, Darrel, Len and Glen; his children, Casey, Tessie and Cheridy; his grandchildren, Lathon, Jessie, Carisa, Angel and Lauren; and the many other kids he fostered and mentored who always held a special place in his heart. Along with a multitude of Aunts, Uncles, In-Laws and favorite Cousins.
Donations can be made to Selco Credit Union in the Dean Gabel memorial fund which will be distributed to three causes close to his heart, ODEAF, OAD, and Deaf Ministries NAG.
A Memorial Service will be held on February 27, 2016 at the Neighborhood Assembly of God Church 815 Irving Rd. Eugene, Oregon. (541) 688-4121 at 1pm. A potluck will follow.
