Deloris "Dee" Mae MeansJune 19, 1930 - May 10, 2009Deloris Mae Means, 78, of Albany, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2009, at Farmington Square in Salem, Oregon.She was born in Neoga, Ill., the daughter of Oris D. and Hazel (Winnings) DeLong.  Raised in Illinois, she married Russell L. Means in Reno, Nev., on Aug. 14, 1964, and they came to Albany in 1970 and have lived here since that time. Dee was a very active member of Eastside Christian Church for 25 years and is remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family and friends.She is survived by her husband Russell Means of Albany; daughters Patricia Ann Cordova of Albany, Shirley Handy of Pana, Ill., and Shana Louise Kondo of Wilsonville; sons Ross Starwalt of Clarkston, Wash., David Leroy Means of Salem,  and William Dale Means of Ogden, Utah;  16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren;  sisters Mary Foltz of Mattoon Ill., Diane Kelly of Bethany, Ill., and Janet Trier of Albany; and brothers Charles DeLong of Effingham, Ill., Willard DeLong of Mattoon, Ill. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother Larry Dale DeLong.A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Eastside Christian Church.  A visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the church and burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Corvallis.  Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association and sent in care of the funeral home.
