Obituary
Donald M. Goin, 86, of Albany passed away at Beaverton Rehab.
He was born in Albion, Neb., the son of Russell and Atta Mae Goin. Donald was raised in Albion and enlisted in the US Navy February of 1943. He served until April of 1946 and moved to Oregon from Iowa in 1953.
He married Barbara Zerr of Albany on Dec. 10, 1966. Donald worked for Mayfair Markets for 25 years and then for Roths I.G.A. for four years before retiring in 1987. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara in November of 2008.
He is survived by sons Douglas L. Williamson and Gary L. Wood; sisters LaVoya Olson of Arizona and Betty Ramousky of Nebraska; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Francis and Glenn Goin; and son Steven Williamson.
A memorial Mass will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Albany.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association and sent in care of the funeral home.
