Obituary

Doris Faye Brunker, 81, passed away Tuesday, March 25 at Samaritan Evergreen Hospice in Albany.
Doris was born to James and Ruby Zink in Coffey Co., Kansas in 1932. The family lived in the Hartford, Kansas area, where Doris attended school through the 8th grade and worked on the family farm.
Doris married Myron "Keith" Brunker March 22, 1952. The couple then moved to Roswell, New Mexico where Myron was stationed as an Air Force mechanic, working on B36's during the Korean War.
After Keith's service in Roswell, the couple moved to Albany with their young son Floyd Lee in Dec. 1955.
Doris was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed fishing, camping and planting her flowers. A loving and giving soul, Doris welcomed everyone into her heart and home, and was always interested to hear how everyone was doing.
Doris is survived by her son Floyd Lee and wife Lori of Lebanon; son Gail and wife Lori of Albany; daughter Diane and husband Chuck Patton of Albany; sister Dixie and husband Orville Whitmire of Lebanon; grandchildren Nathan and Mathew Patton; Renae Ortiz; Katelyn Brunker; Christine and Margret Weedmark; Hilary Clark; J.D. Gillis; and Mandy McCullough; and great-grandchildren Julian and Tatyana Ortiz; Brandon Gobershock; Josiah and Tanaya Eddings; Elsie and Eli Clark; Madilyn and Claire Gillis; and Beatrix McCullough.
Doris is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and her brother's Dale and Jerry Zink.
A service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, March 31 at AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of Oregon in honor of Doris.
