Doris Louise MundtMarch 20, 1915 - January 2, 2008Doris L. Mundt, 92, of Albany, passed away Wednesday at Timberview Care Center.She was born in Wood Lake, Nebraska the daughter of George and Ida (Holm) Wang. She was raised in Wood Lake and attended schools there. She married Emery Lawrence Mundt on July 5, 1933, in Ainsworth, Nebraska, but made their home in Wood Lake. They lived in Valentine and Lincoln, Nebraska before coming to Albany in December 1946. Doris raised her family in Albany and after Emery's death in 1972 she worked for Smoke Craft, Jenks Hatchery and then Heaths Laundry. She was a very active member of the Church of God on Hill Street for 59 years and enjoyed gardening.She is survived by sons Kenneth Mundt of Bakersfield, CA., and Stanley Mundt of Portland; and daughters Phyllis Walker of Albany, Janet Hanger of Corvallis, Sharon Parsons of Albany, and Carolyn VanLandingham of Vancouver, WA.; 18 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 5 brothers, 5 sisters, 2 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.Visitation will be held Sunday, January 6, from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 7, at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home with committal to follow at Twin Oaks Mausoleum. AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
