Doris Ann TaiseyMay 6, 1929 - May 28, 2008Albany resident Doris Ann Taisey beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away May 28, 2008 from complications during a surgical procedure. She was born in Stillwater, Minnesota, and then moved to Idaho where she was raised. She met her high school sweetheart, Jack Taisey, in St Maries Idaho and they were married July 8, 1950. They moved to Oregon in 1955 and had three daughters; Susan Davis, Tamara Johnson and Michelle Nelson.She loved her children and grandchildren more than anything. She had an annual Christmas Cookie day with her children and grandkids for the last 30 years. She was an avid gardener and loved to sew and can fruits and vegetables.She retired from Albany School District in 1987. After retiring, she and her husband Jack traveled many places, Indonesia, Scotland, Ireland and Hawaii to name a few. They had been spending winters in Yuma for the last 15 years.Doris is survived by her husband of 58 years Jack; daughters Tamara Johnson and husband Les of Eugene, Michelle Nelson and husband Todd of Portland; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.Doris and Jacks daughter Susan Davis passed away in 2004.Memorial service will be at 11 am Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
