Obituary
Dorothy Eileen Nicholson, 83, passed away on Saturday at Samaritan Albany General Hospital.
She was born in Glendale, Calif. to Jesse and Lillian (Maynard) Gallogly. She grew up in Highland Park and then moved to Arcadia where she lived until 1980.
Dorothy married Robert Lee Nicholson on Feb. 14, 1954 in Arcadia. In 1980 they moved to Christmas Valley, where Robert passed away. She then moved to Lebanon where she started a secretarial business. While in Lebanon she served as president of the Lebanon Chapter Altrusa.
At 75 years of age she retired and moved to Scio where she lived until February of this year at which time she moved to Albany.
Dorothy loved camping, cooking, knitting, and being with family.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Robert. She is survived by her sons Kenneth of Scio and Steve of Glendora, Calif; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and brother Don Gallogly of Sweet Home.
Family held a private celebration of life. Memorial contributions may be made to Linn County Sheriff Search and Rescue.
