IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Douglas Lowell
Davenport
February 12, 1954 – January 10, 2026
Doug was born on February 12, 1954, in Klamath Falls, Oregon. He passed away on Saturday evening, January 10, 2026. Doug was the eldest son of five children born to David Lee and Mary Esther Davenport. His Mom and Dad, and brother Michael preceded him in death.
Growing up, Douglas lived in many places in Oregon from Oakridge to Springfield, Portland to Beavercreek, Philomath to Blodgett, and the Oregon Coast. In September of 2010, Doug and Debbie, the love of his life, bought a house and settled in Albany. Douglas loved his family and opened his home to countless family members whenever they needed a place to feel safe, warm, and "at home."
Doug was a proud Navy Veteran who served aboard the USS Kittyhawk during the Vietnam War. Doug became a Welder and Fabricator by trade, but really, he was a true artist who could design and build about anything he set his mind to.
Doug loved music! He loved to sing and play music, and he was good at it! He played whenever and wherever he could and was happiest when he was just "jamming with the guys." He was a wise cracker, sometimes a goofball, a incorrigible tease, and everyone was fair game.
Douglas is survived by his loving wife, Debbie and his six children: Janine Renee, Jonathan Douglas, Jeremy David, Sierra Carmel, Sophia Louise, and Lucia Anne. Also by his sisters Deana Culbertson, Katherine (Beth) Coleman, brother Martin Davenport; and by his ten beloved grandkids, three great grandkids, and countless nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
"Doug was the love of my life for twenty-nine years and I will love and miss him forever. Rest now and be at peace. Now, go beat your Dad at a game of Pool.
From your Baby Love."
A Celebration of Life will be held at the LDS Church located at 2850 Grand Prairie Rd, Albany, OR 97322 on February 14th at 2:00 pm.
