Edith Wilhelmina Eichler

Edith Wilhelmina Eichler, 97, of Albany died on Thursday at Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House.
Edith was born in Chicago, Ill., to Gottlieg and Mathilda (Klug) Rogen. She grew up in Eau Claire, Mich., and went to school there. Edith worked in a basket factory in Eau Claire and married Fred William Eichler on Sunday, May 15, 1932, in Benton Harbor, Mich. In 1943 they moved to Stevensville, Mich., and in 1948 moved to Arizona for a short time then moved to Lodi, Calif., and then in 1992 they moved to Albany to be near family.
Edith was involved in her church at Riverside Baptist and enjoyed reading her Bible and gardening.
Edith is survived by sons Ronald Eichler of Albany and William Eichler of Sequim, Wash.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Wanda and Helen, and son Robert Eichler.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, at Willamette Memorial Park in Albany.
