Edith "Edie" Mary RobinsonApril 29, 1918 - August 10, 2007Edith "Edie" Mary Robinson, 89, of Albany passed away Friday, August 10, at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis.She was born April 29, 1918 in Culbertson, Montana to Italian and Swiss immigrants Albino and Magdalene (Cattaneo) Zoanni. She grew up on the farm her father homesteaded 20 miles northwest of Sidney, MT., near Sioux Pass. She had four brothers, Jimmy, Aldo, Donald and Jack who preceded her in death.Edie's early years were spent attending Sioux Pass Flats School. She graduated from Sidney High School in 1936 and then attended Dakota Business College in Fargo, North Dakota. She worked in the office of Richland County Assessor in Sidney before moving to Salem, Oregon where she continued to work in the Marion County Assessors office.She married Stan Robinson on June 29, 1948 in Poplar, Montana and they settled in Albany, OR. They raised three children and she worked for the Linn County Tax Dept.After retirement, she enjoyed her family and traveling with her husband, Stan. She liked to go out to restaurants and for coffee with her family and friends. She enjoyed watching basketball and baseball on T.V.Survivors include sons Alan of Portland and Ken of Eugene, and daughter Cheryl of Corvallis. Her beloved husband Stan passed away in 1994.Edith's Life reflected her deep and abiding faith. She had a deeply charitable nature and gave generously to her church, disaster victims, and other noble causes.Edith will always be remembered for her devotion to her husband and children and her sweet, kind and gentle nature. Her children know this to be true.A Rosary prayer service will be held Wednesday, August 15, at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, August 16, at 11:00 A.M. at St Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Willamette Memorial Park in Albany. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic School and may be sent in care of the funeral home. AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home is handling arrangements. (
