Edward Michael Bodnar
Feb. 7, 1948 - May 15, 2011
Edward Bodnar, 63, of Millersburg died of pancreatic cancer Sunday at home with his wife and daughter by his side.
He was born in McKeesport, Pa., to Joseph and Irene Bodnar. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patricia; his only child, Deanna and husband Richard; and three grandchildren, Anthony, Jalene and Danielle.
He loved Oregon and all it had to offer. He and his wife enjoyed camping, fishing and traveling to see as much of Oregon as they could. Traveling the Oregon Backcountry Discovery routes were his favorite.
Ed was an amateur radio operator and loved to volunteer his services for various events in Oregon, especially with the Oregon Rally Group. His newest hobby was geo-caching which allowed him to combine his love of traveling, volunteering and geo-caching all in one.
At his request there will be no service. Family and friend will gather at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan Evergreen Hospice in care of the funeral home.
